Saturday, June 05, 2010Swim Day/End-of-the-Year BBQ at Lake Oswego in Chatsworth, NJ
Scouts, families, Troop leaders, and alumni are welcome to attend!
Scouts can complete their swim test and work on
Swimming, Lifesaving, or Canoeing Merit Badges.
Everyone can hang out, go swimming, canoe, fish, play badminton,
and have a good time
If carpooling or caravaaning, please meet at the shed at 9:30 AM
(we aim to depart at 9:45).
If meeting us at the lake, you can show up
around 11:00 AM.

Cost: $5 per person to offset food costs.
 
Feel free to bring something to share!
July 2010Troop 48 Advancement Campout in the Pine Barrens

The legions of Troop 48 Merit Badge counselors will be making
themselves available to work on a large variety of merit badges for
four days, located conviently close in the Pine Barrens!  Dates will
be announced soon.

Cost: $35
Monday, July 26, 2010 thru Wednesday, August 04, 2010BSA 100th Anniversary National Jamboree, Fort A.P. Hill, VA
Several members of the troop will be attending the National Jamboree
with a contingent from the White Horse District.

Cost: $1500. 

A few spots are still available (as of January), contact Joe Hale if
you are interested!
Friday, July 30, 2010 thru Sunday, August 01, 2010Trip to National Jamboree at Fort AP Hill, VA
Camping will be in nearby Doswell, VA
Scouts will get to spend a day at the BSA 100th Anniversary National
Jamboree, including seeing the arena show with tens of thousands of
other Scouts.  For all of those Scouts who can't attend the National
Jamboree for ten days, here is your chance to be at this one-time-only
event! 
We will also visit the National Museum of the Marine Corp!

Cost: $35
Saturday, August 07, 2010 thru Friday, August 13, 2010Summer Trip to Acadia National Park in Maine

Friday, September 24, 2010 thru Sunday, September 26, 2010MS 150 City-to-Shore Bike Ride - Station - TBA
As we have done for many, many years, we will be helping out at one of
the rest stops to support the bikers riding to help cure this terrible
disease.
Meet at the shed at 6 PM on Friday.

Cost: $15.

We will also be attempting to put together a team of riders this year!
To ride the route from Cherry Hill to Ocean City you need to raise at
least $300 in pledges (or at least that's what it was last year)!  All
money supports the MS Society and research into curing Multiple
sclerosis.

Cost if riding: Start gathering those pledges!
