My project is at the Fountains at Cedar Park retirement home and I am
constructing a garden in the back of the complex.
My Brother Kyle, My Dad, my friend Brian and I have already installed
the bricks for the garden border. The next step is to add top soil,
locate the plants and plant them and then add mulch. This should not
take more than @ 4-6 hours on Saturday and I am asking for your help.
Where: The Fountains at Cedar park retirement home 114 Hayes Mill Road
Atco NJ 08004, Rt 73 south towards shore, turn left on Hayes Mill
road, then turn into main entrance of fountains retirement home,
follow road to employee parking lot on right, look for paved walkway
on left leading to fenced in yard.
When: 9:00am Saturday August 28
I will provide lunch and cold drinks,
Please e-mail me if you think you have time join in the fun of landscaping.
Thank you,

Old Orchards United Methodist Church has reached out to us for young
men/young women/adults to help clean out their parsonage. Bring your
brooms, mops, shovels, and buckets and lend a hand!
This would take place on Saturday, June 26 from 10:30 AM until 1 PM at
Old Orchards United Methodist Church (1995 Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill,
NJ 08003). The church has been kind enough to allow our troop to use
their facilities in the past, we can be a huge help to them with only
a few hours of work.
If you can help out with this, please RSVP to Mrs. Elizabeth Lowell
(mother of one of our new Scouts, William) at E.Lowell@elsevier.com or
(917) 517-4246!
The Paintball event scheduled for June 19th has been postponed due to reservation problems.
It is now going to be most likely sometime in July, but no date has been decided yet.
June is a busy time of year, we hope you can make time for some of the
great activities this month:
June 5 - Troop 48 BBQ & Swim Day
June 6 - Shotgun & Rifle Day
June 12 - Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Nolan Kier and Ryan Matthews
June 19 - Paintball vs the Girl Scouts
Also a reminder to get those deposits in for this summer's trip to
Acadia National Park. This promises to be one of, if not the, best
trips of the year!
Two events this March!
First, on Saturday, March 13 we will again be holding Shotgun and
Rifle Merit Badge Day under the direction of Mr. Gillespie and Mr.
Sano! We will get together on Saturday morning at the shed to review
the safety and pre-shooting portions of the merit badge before heading
over to Shamong to take care of the shooting parts.
For our camping trip this month, we will be heading out to Gettysburg,
PA from March 26 thru the 28th. Activities will include visiting the
visitors center, exploring the first day's battle, hiking portions of
the second day's battle and Pickett's Charge, climbing around on the
rocks at Devil's Den, and more! As always, we will be meeting at 6 PM
Friday at the shed. The cost of this trip is $25.
