This kid is Jim Fleck (picture of .  He is probably the only scout that (of those that
were in the troop for a long time) I never heard from since leaving the
troop to go to college.  I know he went to technical school in Pa to study
structural coatings, paint.  He did come back once I think while he was in
college.  He was a very memorable guy.  I called him jungle boy.  He is the
guy you see in a later photo carrying a rope across the Mullica river during
a cold trip to Franks Place.  He is wearing the famous army surplus jacket,
which Ben Conard made popular back then.  We all had one.  They were the
best jackets, couldn’t hurt them and plenty of pockets.  I think we all
actually wore them out because I know mine and josh’s are nowhere to be
found.  By the time sean was in we were much more technical with our gear,
you know the North Face and fleece and things.  Lots of stories about Fleck.
